Zombies: The First Days

You know that feeling after you finish reading a book, and then suddenly it becomes your favorite? Okay, that's not what I felt after I read Rhiannon Frater's The First Days.

It's good. It's a worthwhile read, but not to the point where I would put it on my to-read-again list. I'm giving it four stars though.

I have always liked zombie movies and I figured why not read about it too? The first time I got my hands on a zombie book, which was This Is Not A Test by Courthey Summers, I really had doubts if I will be able to love it as much as I love contemporary romances, and chic lits. But after I read it, I found out that zombie books nowadays aren't all screams and tearing out of bodies, the have depths too. And so after I read my first zombie book, I was on the hunt for the next ones.

I'm not actually a fan of horror movies. But zombie movies do not freak me out. I don't know why. All the planning makes me excited. And then I read Rhiannon Frater's The First Days and realized that one of the characters in the story was right. She also like Zombie movies because it's a safe kind of scary. So yeah, I guess I'll just go with that reason from now on.

Tweaks and Reads

Having a new blog is exciting.

But being my self, I'm getting pretty tired of starting new things... Just like tweaking this blog site. Yeah I know. I can just leave it like this and continue posting, but you know, it's more pleasing and attractive to the eyes of the readers if my blog will be more presentable.

Okay, I'm admitting it now, I'm lazy.

So what?

Over the weekend, I cannot believe that I have finished reading three Susan Elizabeth Phillips books. Yeah, so now you tell me I'm lazy huh? I really don't know why reading is so very appealing to me that even though I am supposed to do other things, I can't stop about finishing the current book that I'm reading, if not look for the next book to read.

Oh okay, I know you are yawning while reading this post, but I'll still continue to blabber anyway.

So yeah, I don't know. Books are like drugs to me. Well, at least it's a worthwhile hobby right? Reading is my therapy. It helps me to think straight. It helps me to avoid the reality. So now I'm branding myself as a coward. Psh! It's a scapegoat. My sanctuary. That's how important a book is to me.

In this blog, expect that I'll be writing about the books that I read, whether I hated it or loved it. Unlike other book review sites, I will describe each book that I read like the way I want to including the actors that I think   are best for the characters in the book and the songs that I think fit.

Since I am all kind of lazy today, I'm leaving you hanging. My friends will be here any minute now, I better socialize with other people now and then before I find myself talking to myself.

Til next time!

The Straight-talking Bitch

This is my nth blog.

If you found this through your own will, congratulations!

First of all if the B word is an offending word for you, I'm sorry. It isn't for me, and this is my blog so I'm free to use all the words I want to use. Hahaha. Just kidding. It's just that bitch has a different implication on me when I say it. So, calm yourself. I'm not looking for fights here.

From now on, this is my official blog.

I'll write about the books that I read, my latest experiences, the movies that I have seen and all the random things. Just like what any other blogger does. And since I called this blog The Straight-talking Bitch, expect that everything I write here is 99% if not 100% straight and direct to the point. How's that?

So there. I hope I will live up to the name of this blog.

Til next post! :)
